The 39 Steps

Alfred Hitchcock
June 06, 1935

Sinopsis

Richard Hannay uncovers a plot to steal vital British Military Information, the 39 Steps, masterminded by a man with the top joint missing from one of his fingers.

LOCATIONS
The film was mainly shot in Lime Grove Studios London.  However, Hitchcock did use a number of outside locations in Scotland and central London. The former included the Forth Rail Bridge spanning the Firth of Forth between Edinburgh and Dunfermline.  In London all filming was done in the London Borough of Westminster and included the famous London Palladium Theatre on Argyll Street, Kings Cross Railway Station and Park Crescent; the latter used as a substitute for 122 Portland Place where Richard Hannay was supposed to have lived.
