Stanley Holloway born 1 October 1890 died 30 January 1982 was an English stage and film actor, comedian, singer and poet. He made early stage appearnces before WW1 and during WW2 made short propoganda films on behalf of the BFI. His role as Alfred P. Doolittle in My Fair Lady brought him international fame and a Tony Award for Best Featured Actor and an Oscar for Best Supporting Actor in 1964.
