Timothy Spall born 27 February 1957. Tim Spall is an English actor and occasional presenter. He was raised in Battersea London. He was trained in the National Youth Theatre and RADA where he was awarded the Bancroft Medal for most promising actor of his year. From an early history in repertory theatre he obtained his big break playing the character Barry in the TV comedy drama Auf Weidersehen Pet. He has starred in The Last Samurai (2003) The Damned United (2009) and The King's Speech (2010). In 2014 he won Best Actor at the Cannes Film Festival
